1. Privacy overview

Studoes is a study-first social-learning product. This policy explains what information is used, why it is used, how it is protected, and the choices available to learners.

Studoes aims to collect only information needed to provide learning, identity, safety, communication, and account-security functions.

2. Account and learner identity information

Account information may include first name, last name, username, email address, password hash, learning stage, and policy acceptance records.

Profile and academic information may include profile photo, institution, academic year, study stream, subjects, date of birth, gender where provided, optional mobile number, country, state or region, city, and optional pincode.

Studoes does not require a full residential address during onboarding.

3. Learning and social content

Information created through the service may include posts, notes, drafts, comments, reactions, messages, subject structures, uploaded files, saved items, and collaboration activity.

Visibility depends on the selected feature and privacy settings. Sensitive account details such as email, mobile number, date of birth, and private location information are not intended for public display.

4. Security and technical information

Studoes records limited authentication, rate-limit, session, audit, delivery, and security-event information to protect accounts and investigate misuse.

Identifiers used for rate limiting, transactional email records, and security auditing are hashed where practical so raw values are not unnecessarily retained.

Device, browser, cookie, and network information may be processed when necessary for sessions, security, diagnostics, and service operation.

5. Why information is used

Information is used to create and secure accounts, verify email addresses, recover passwords, personalise learning context, organise subjects, enable permitted social-learning interactions, operate rewards and referrals, prevent abuse, provide support, and meet legal obligations.

Studoes does not sell learner personal information to advertisers.

6. Verification and recovery email

Studoes uses transactional email to send verification codes, verification links, password-reset links, and essential account notices.

ZeptoMail is currently used as a transactional-email service provider. Delivery records store limited operational metadata and do not store raw verification codes or password-reset tokens.

Open and click tracking is disabled for verification and password-recovery messages.

7. Service providers and disclosures

Information may be processed by vetted providers that support hosting, storage, security, email delivery, and other essential operations.

Information may also be disclosed where required by law, to protect learners or the public, to investigate fraud or abuse, or as part of a lawful organisational transaction with appropriate safeguards.

8. Visibility and privacy defaults

New learner profiles are private by default until the learner changes an available visibility setting.

Profile discoverability is separate from the visibility of sensitive fields. Email, mobile number, date of birth, and precise private location are not made public by default.

Learners should review audience settings before publishing content or changing profile visibility.

9. Retention and deletion

Information is retained while an account is active and for limited periods afterwards when required for backups, security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or legitimate operational needs.

Verification and reset secrets are stored only in hashed form and expire according to configured security periods.

Deletion requests may not remove information that Studoes is legally required or legitimately permitted to retain.

10. Learner choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, learners may request access, correction, export, restriction, objection, or deletion of personal information.

Account and profile settings provide some direct correction and visibility controls. Other requests can be made through the privacy contact.

11. Younger learners

Studoes is not intended for independent self-service registration below the configured minimum age.

Where local law requires parent or guardian permission, learners and guardians must follow the consent process made available by Studoes before using restricted features.

Additional age-related safety controls, including communication restrictions, may be introduced following legal and child-safety review.

12. International processing

Service providers may process information in locations different from the learner’s location. Studoes will use contractual, technical, and organisational safeguards required by applicable law.

13. Policy updates

Material changes will be communicated through the service, email, or another reasonable channel.

A new policy version may require renewed acknowledgement or acceptance.

14. Privacy and grievance contact

Privacy questions and rights requests can be sent to privacy@studoes.com.

Grievance-related privacy concerns can be sent to privacy@studoes.com.
